DICE Project Taking Shape!

After months of planning and funding applications, the 'DICE' (Drop In Centre Eastleigh) project has a starting date. This is a colaboration between the CB project and Mencap, headed up by service user, Adam Williams (pictured)

The starting date will be monday 18th February and the group will be based around practical Art and Craft Activities, as well as computer skills on recycled/refurbished machines.

Mansbridge Cinema Club (Supported by the CB Project)

Yesterday evening we got together at Mansbridge Primary school for a cinema evening. We watched the film 'The Holiday', and enjoyed healthy refreshments (pictured). It was a good turn out with a mixture of young, and older people. It was a pleasent evening (although cold outside!) and everyone seemed to enjoy their time there. There were smiles all round!

CB Project working in the New Forest

The CB Project is now spreading it's wings and working in new places. Among our new initiatives, we have been invited to help start a new Dad's group in Blackfield. Stuart has been working alongside the local community worker, Daren Hall, (pictured), exploring new ideas. Last week we put on a Robot making session for Kids and Adults, which was well attended. Future plans include an African Drumming workshop - so Watch this space!

Mini Millbrook Plans for 2008

10th January - Mini Millbrook

Today the Mini Millbrook Project talked about what a constitution is and why you should have one. They then went through the different aspects of writing one, and putting a draft version together. Pictured is Gail, writing down everything for the group as they decided what would be included.
